Everything your new beekeeper needs to get started. We'll send a gift certificate in a gift box to put under the tree, or wherever you do your gifting.

All equipment will be delivered to your location within 45 minutes of Shoreline, WA at least 1 month before bee arrival. Bees are to be picked up in Shoreline, WA unless the Premium Package is ordered. If your delivery location is further away, additional shipping charges will apply (or you can pick up at our facility). Most beekeepers recommend starting with 2 hives if you can!

Puget Sound Package:

• 1x 5 frame Nucleus Hive or 3 lb Package. We will contact you to confirm your preferred queen race before bees are delivered (Italian, Carniolan, Saskatraz, Golden West).
• 1x Painted and Assembled 10 frame Rainy Day Hive (Solid Bottom Board, 1x Deep Brood Box with 8 Frames and a frame feeder, 4x Medium Brood/Super Boxes with Frames, Inner Cover, Telescoping Cover). Our preferred setup for backyard hives in the Puget Sound area.

• Site visit to help you find the best place for your bees

  • Pre-blackberry nectar flow evaluation
  • Winter preparations and varroa mite treatment
• Use of Rainy Day Bees' extracting facility for your first honey harvest (does not need to be redeemed your first year)!
